*Dr. Nicole DeCrappeo was recently hired as the new Director of the Northwest Climate Adaptation Science Center

*Dr. Diana Wall was elected to the National Academy of Sciences in 2018, one of only a handful of Colorado State University academics ever to receive the honor

*Dr. Diana Wall was inducted into the California Academy of Sciences as an Academy Fellow in 2017

* Dr. Diana Wall received the 2017 Eminent Ecologist Award from the Ecological Society of America

*Ashley Shaw received a 2017 Antarctic Science Bursary – a grant for early career researchers working in Antarctic research fields – in collaboration with Jasmine Lee at the University of Queensland
