Matt and Ryan (Miyake group alumni) have been recognized by Forbes magazine in the "30 under 30 - Energy" list for 2020 for developing heat-reflective coatings technology! Matt and Ryan have founded the company Cypris Materials to commercialize these coatings which are based on chemistry developed in the group in the study of photonic crystals

Bin Liu joins the group as a post-doctoral researcher. Bin completed his PhD in Chemistry studying C-H bond activation reaction development under Prof. Bing-Feng Shi at Zhejiang University in Hangzhou, China.

Ya Du joins the group as a post-doctoral researcher. Ya received her PhD in Chemistry under Prof. Liangnian He at Nankai University in Tianjin, China, where she studied the catalysis of synthetic carbon dioxide chemistry.
