Chemistry Poster Printing Instructions

General Information

Paper: Roll of 42″ HP Heavyweight Coated Paper

Printing Directions

1.) For best results, save your poster as a PDF file.  You will then use Adobe Acrobat Professional that is installed on the plotter computer.  You should also know what the dimensions of your poster are.  Keep in mind that the poster can only print up to 42” for one edge.  To print your file, first open your PDF file and click on the File->Print menu.  Confirm that your options match the following windows (all except for dimensions of course).

2) We will now set the dimensions using the “Custom…” button highlighted above. Once clicked you will see the following dialog window:

Say your poster has dimensions of 42” X 36”.  You can create a new custom set of dimensions to use by filling out the appropriate settings as show above.  Click “Save” once complete and you will have set the plotter to print the appropriately sized poster.

You can now click “OK” to print your file, noting that the preview should accurately reflect your custom dimensions.
