Kaytee Ankrom is a PhD student in the Biology department focused in Botany. She is studying nematode interactions under different water availability in grassland ecosystems as part of a NSF-funded research grant. Kaytee is particularly interested in predator nematodes and their survival in drought environments and the relationship of below and above ground bio-diversity.

Her favorite soil organism is Paratylenchus neoamblycephalus, the pin nematode.
