Estación Biológica Monteverde Photos

Estación Biológica Monteverde is a simple field station that owns a beautiful piece of land ranging from 1400 to 1800 m elevation, located at the highest point in the Tilarán Mountain Range.  The station’s forest is adjacent to the enormous Bosque Eterno de los Niños.  I had stayed here over a decade prior to this field work, so it was exciting to be back.  My PhD advisor, Steve Tonsor, was with Scott and me for part of the time.
